Europlac is one of the world's largest manufacturers of veneer board materials. Its plant in Topoľčany produces a wide range of products from over 150 wood species for the furniture industry, architects and designers worldwide. Seamless logistics are therefore key. However, the previous dispatch planning using excel spreadsheets has not been up to date for a long time and was also prone to human error.
„Our production is very specific - we work with wood and natural materials. It is very difficult to meet the customer's demands, whether in terms of product offer, quality of service or delivery time. Conventional systems are no longer sufficient and after several attempts we found that we needed to create a solution tailored exactly to our company. Therefore, we approached SOFTIP, which three years ago developed an integrated IS based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the production ERP system SOFTIP PROFIT PLUS,“ explains Matej Beňuška, IT manager of the company.
The most recent example of mutual cooperation is the new web application, which significantly speeds up and simplifies the entire logistics planning and management process. It makes it easy to create an initial weekly dispatch plan for each truck, which is then confirmed by production managers in terms of its feasibility. Of course, online tracking of order changes from the CRM system and the generation of reports and production documentation for individual workplaces is also possible. All this in real time and with access to users in Germany.
