KOSIT, which takes care of waste removal and material and energy recovery for hundreds of thousands of inhabitants of eastern Slovakia, as well as road maintenance, has implemented the management information system SOFTIP MIS, which provides managers with the necessary information for strategic decision-making.
KOSIT has been using the SOFTIP PROFIT PLUS enterprise information system for more than a year to accelerate and improve the quality of its activities. However, this major company with almost 600 employees needed to gain an even better overview of the management of its subsidiaries. Therefore, it decided to implement the management information system SOFTIP MIS, which provided the management with the additional information they needed.
This primarily involves the evaluation of aggregate results for subsidiaries and other operations. This is now made possible by newly deployed reports. The most widely used is the Profit & Loss Statement. The system provides a view of the performance of both individual companies and the KOSIT Group as a whole. Another benefit is also a consolidated view of the economic results - i.e. excluding inter-company operations.
The economic result can also be viewed for a selected division or economic centre, while the management information system (MIS) also handles the budgeting of overheads on the basis of different scheduling bases.
Budgets in different versions and even data from the traffic management system deployed in one of the subsidiaries are also imported into the MIS. SOFTIP MIS then enables the evaluation of the plan execution or its comparison with the previous year.
