EURES recently published a study on how young people from Generations Y and Z approach work and their employers. It showed, among other things, that they expect maximum digitisation of work processes, including internal and external communication, and immediate praise for work results. What does this mean for corporate HR departments?
That the digitalisation of company processes will significantly strengthen their chances of reaching talent in the labour market. At first glance, a simple rule applies - technologies that not only young people are used to in their private lives, they also expect and want to use in the workplace. And because of this, the overall maturity of the business grows.
So everything has to be online?
Yes, this is one of the most important parameters. Whether I'm in a company or home office, I need to have a solution that allows me to communicate with my HR manager or supervisor in a comfortable and intuitive way. I can apply for leave and get approval or denial from my boss in a turn-around time. Sign up for training, meet new team members, review my evaluation and bonuses. And it's not just a benefit for the employee, but also for the company's management.

In what sense?
In two planes. The first is easy and comfortable access to information about HR activities in the company for the basic triangle of users, i.e. employees, management and HR managers. It is a single comprehensive view of HR processes with the ability to work over consolidated data.
The second level is the financial benefits - not only in the form of time and paper savings that the company will gain thanks to the digitalization of HR. It is also the significantly higher employee satisfaction and efficiency of work of all involved, which has direct impacts on the company's performance.
Already the first modules have made our life in the field of HR processes much easier - this is what you said after deploying your HAPPY HR solution in SOFTIP. Have you tested its functionalities and features on your own?
For more than thirty years we have been operating on the Slovak market in the field of HR, we are the first test sample on which we verify the functionality of our solutions. SOFTIP HAPPY HR is no exception. It has saved us a lot of work and enabled us to handle many changes that came during the pandemic or under the influence of the advent of new technologies. Its modules are gradually being added and the range of activities that not only our customers but also we cover with it is expanding. It has already become part of the vision, culture formation and further development of SOFTIP.
What can the company currently solve with its help?
As a superstructure above the payroll system, it offers modules that make selected personnel data available to all employees and managers of the company. It gives a complete overview of job positions, enables employee and team evaluation. It manages the company's training processes, employee recruitment and registration, document management including electronic delivery, etc. The scope of its use depends on the customer's preferences and needs. We start from a standard, which we adapt to the customer's specific needs. It is fully scalable, independent of legislation and also compatible with third-party payroll systems.
So, is the SOFTIP HAPPY HR solution able to provide young colleagues with the instant feedback we talked about in the introduction? Even on their smart phone or other mobile device ?
Yeah. All they need is an internet connection, because it's a web app. And even colleagues from abroad will understand it, as SOFTIP HAPPY HR is a multilingual application.
