CONFERENCE ON THE FUTURE OF MANUFACTURING
The first day of the two-day conference focused on engineering and manufacturing industry (CAD/CAM/PDM), the second day traditionally focused on construction, architecture and BIM technologies. Under the motto Design automation This event introduced new design technologies and focused on the exchange of practical experiences of users of applications and solutions in these areas.
In the introductory lecture of the engineering part, Martin Peňáz, representative of Autodesk, presented the project The future of Czech manufacturing and the main aspects of digitalisation of production. In other presentations, the speakers - users from professional practice - shared their experiences with the deployment and use of design technologies and with the interconnection of CAD, CAM and PDM tools with other business processes in their companies.

THE BASIS OF PRODUCTION IS ITS TECHNICAL PREPARATION
There was also a joint lecture by CAD Studio and SOFTIP, which was dedicated to the main theme of the conference automation of technical production preparation (TPV). In its introduction, Radomír Žvak, Managing Director and Sales Director of CAD Studio, described the reasons for the closer cooperation between the two companies and the benefits that the combined forces bring to customers. Jana Verčimáková from SOFTIP, who presented the information system for technical preparation of production, talked about the interconnection of the products of both companies.
SOFTIP's most important solution in this area is a specialised software tool SOFTIP MONACO, which is not an unknown product in the Czech Republic. As a successful successor to the solution SYSKLASS presented by a new generation technical information system. It builds on CAD/PDM and gives output to production management. It is thus a logical and integral part between product design and production.

WHEN SUCCESS STORIES INSPIRE
Case studies of customers who have successfully used the above-mentioned solutions for the technical preparation of production met with the interest of the participants: Brush SEM Pilsen, which has continued the tradition of manufacturing generators under the ŠKODA brand and today is one of the world's key manufacturers of turbogenerators as well as a Dutch company Control Seal, which specializes in high pressure valves for the oil and gas industry.
More detailed information on the presented topics could also be obtained during the practical afternoon workshops, where SOFTIP in the section Documentation and process management, integration with ERP/TPV was represented by the product manager of IS SOFTIP MONACO, Jozef Ďurica.
Expert discussions on individual lectures, parallel workshops and the popular final „round table“ confirmed the constant interest of the participants in the exchange of real experiences and technological innovations from the world of CAx and BIM software.
