ERP market research in Slovakia in 2021

SOFTIP confirmed its position as the largest Slovak producer of enterprise information systems. It results from the latest ERP survey in Slovakia, conducted by the editorial office of the technology magazine NEXTECH.

In the framework of survey sales representatives of foreign companies operating in Slovakia, sellers and implementers of their products and local producers of economic information systems were contacted. 17 companies participated in the survey. The year 2021 was also affected by the global pandemic, but not as significantly as the previous year, because companies have already managed to adapt their processes, including their IT support, to the current situation. Total revenue from the sale of ERP solution licenses for 2021 was EUR 9,885,067 and revenue from the sale of services for ERP solutions was EUR 47,196,286.

Because some firms did not provide data in each of the categories and the same firms did not participate in the survey as last year, it is not possible to compare these data directly or by percentage. If we add up the revenues of the same firms that provided data for both 2021 and 2020, in the area of licence sales, revenues are stagnating, but in the area of service sales, revenues have increased significantly. These amounts do not include sales of Slovak branches of global companies (such as SAP), which could not provide their local data this year due to internal policies.

Overview of revenue from the sale of licenses and services for ERP solutions for 2021

SOFTIP repeatedly defended its position as the Slovak leader in the survey in the business information systems market, with total revenues of EUR 13.5 million from the sale of licenses and services for ERP solutions in 2021. The largest share of the total revenue was from the sale of services for ERP solutions amounting to EUR 12.4 million.

„Customers are becoming more and more demanding. Each of them already has experience with an ERP system, and no ERP system meets their requirements at 100 %. They find it harder to adapt to standard ERP functionality, but on the other hand they are sensitive to the costs associated with customer customisation and support,“ he assessed the current ERP market in Slovakia Radovan Bálent, Member of the Board of Directors and Director of the SME Division at SOFTIP. „The trends in the world are cloud, mobile solutions, artificial intelligence and IoT. The Slovak market is copying them with a certain delay,“ he added.
