SHP Group's four production plants produce 160 thousand tons of paper annually under the Harmony, Harmasan, Harmony Professional, Paloma, Paloma Professional product brands. An online solution based on SOFTIP HAPPY HR for performance evaluation and employee development was implemented in the environment of the multinational company, which represents 8 companies in 5 countries. The users of the application are employees from Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.
The objective was to propose a solution for evaluating the performance of an employee in a specific position for a given evaluation period. It was essential to be able to get feedback from employees and then set their own goals and development activities for the upcoming period.
The main requirement of the customer - to implement a solution that will be stable even at the time of key processing deadlines, when user access to the application is several times higher than standard.

The SOFTIP HAPPY HR web application has been deployed in the SHP Group in the scope of the HR Administration and Evaluation modules. The implemented solution enables the proposal and approval of individual performance and development goals of the evaluated employee for the evaluation period. The objectives can be updated during the appraisal period, while any change of the appraised employee's objective is subject to re-approval by the employee's supervisor. Approved objectives shall be evaluated within the time limits set for the evaluation.
The appraisal process consists of a self-assessment where the employee evaluates their objectives verbally and grades them according to an appraisal scale and sends the evaluation to the appraiser. The appraiser shall evaluate the employee's objectives with a grade according to the rating scale and forward to the appraised employee. The self-evaluation and appraisal shall include final comments and feedback to both the appraised employee and the appraiser.
The actual progress of the evaluation, from the definition of the objectives to the conclusion of the evaluation, is indicated by the status of the evaluation. When the evaluation status changes, depending on the setting, email notifications are sent to both the evaluator and the employee being evaluated.
Selected staff members are included in the evaluation process. An evaluation form template can be defined for the purpose of evaluation. The evaluation process is then carried out according to the template used.
