Rich mix of features
Energy monitoring, pipeline condition monitoring, water leak detection, gas leak detection, abnormality identification, as well as monitoring of temperature, humidity and gas concentrations, and fire warning. These and other variables and events IoT Platform is processed in real time and communicated to the user via a clear interface. „In addition, it is able to present not only the current status, but also trends and development history. In doing so, it continuously updates the selected model itself, which is necessary for the correct detection of abnormalities,“ he explains Marek Sedliak, Sales Director of ESS Division and Innovation Director at SOFTIP. It is not just about passive reporting, but about creating a digital model of the monitored system using machine learning.

A typical example of deployment in practice is the condition monitoring of bridge structures. Whether due to time or unexpected events, their condition can cause degradation of load-bearing elements. The IoT Platform identifies this immediately. With its help, medical facilities or drug distributors can garant monitor the constant temperature and physical conditions necessary before storing drugs, blood, etc.
„It offers very interesting functionalities for road operators. It can scan the road surface remotely using infrared cameras and measure its temperature, the thickness of the water film or the snow layer. And based on this, display information for drivers, to optimise speed or winter maintenance. When it detects oncoming vehicles, for example at motorway exits, it not only triggers a warning sign, but immediately informs the road operator and identifies the car that is endangering other drivers,“ says Marek Sedliak.
Transport is also closely linked to air quality. SOFTIP's solution is able to integrate and subsequently process information on temperature, humidity, dustiness or CO2 concentration from measuring stations.
Quick and easy deployment
The interface is very intuitive and user-friendly. It processes the collected data and provides the operator or manager with outputs in a predefined form and structure. It can use its own pre-integrated sensors, as well as those already installed by the company, to collect data.
The actual deployment of the SOFTIP IoT Platform and its integration with existing solutions and sensors is a matter of a few weeks. It uses cloud computing as standard and thus does not require the customer to invest in its own computing, operation and maintenance.
„Of course, we can also implement this solution on-premise. In both cases, connecting the individual data collection points does not require any data or electrical cables. Everything works remotely wherever the GSM network is available and requires only minimal maintenance. Communication is automatic and the system is constantly learning and refining itself based on the data collected,“ he concludes Marek Sedliak.
