We have a long-standing cooperation with schools. In addition to sharing know-how through lectures given by our employees on campus or free admission to the SOFTIP HR DAY professional conference for the best students and their teachers, these are often more prosaic matters, but they are essential for improving the quality of education. „We are therefore very happy when we can move surplus furniture or technology, which is still of very high quality but no longer has a use in our country, to schools,“ said Martin Vlčko, CFO and member of SOFTIP's board of directors. It was no different in the case of the Jozef Murgaš Secondary Industrial School in Banská Bystrica, to which we donated complete equipment for a vocational classroom at the beginning of the year - furniture and computers with accessories from our training room in Bratislava.
Murgaška, as Banskobystrians familiarly refer to it, has long been ranked at the top of the best vocational schools not only in the region, but in Slovakia as a whole. Thousands of educated people who are successful in their field have passed through its gates. Among them are many employees of SOFTIP. „Our CTO Ján Schwarz is also a graduate of this school and is one of the absolute leaders in the field of Microsoft cloud services. His team has already won the Microsoft Partner of the Year title three times, which is an exceptional achievement not only in the Central European region,“ Vlčko said. „So when Murgaška approached us recently to ask for our support for its 100th anniversary, we knew it would be something special,“ He added.
The decision was made to create a relaxation zone for students in the foyer, for which the school has an architectural study and which it is trying to gradually implement. „There was already a new library and colorful chairs upstairs, but there was still a lot of room for realization,“ said Jana Medveďová from SOFTIP. After mutual agreement with the school, we decided to complete this project and donated comfortable upholstered furniture to the school - a sofa set and several stools with coffee tables. „We have managed to create a cosy and creative space where students can spend time together and relax, which they have been using intensively from the very first moment. We are happy to have been able to contribute to their well-being and we keep our fingers crossed for their further studies,“She added.
„The Jozef Murgaš Secondary Industrial School is determined to enter its second hundred years of operation with an ever-increasing quality of education. It continues to respond to new trends in the technical and pedagogical field, which also requires an adequately furnished environment. We are pleased that the cooperation with partners, which include SOFTIP, manifests itself not only in good relations, but also in mutual support and real results. In addition to a high level of knowledge, our school also cares about a pleasant atmosphere and team building, so we are grateful for the opportunity to provide our pupils with a place to relax, communicate or learn.“ said the school's deputy head, Jana Lubyová.
