SOFTIP has been operating in the east of Slovakia for almost three decades. First as an independent legal entity SOFTIP-EAST, s. r. o., which was established in 1992 with its headquarters in Prešov, and later after a change of ownership structure through a network of workplaces. In connection with the current changes in the work preferences of employees and customers, further organizational changes are taking place.
From 1 November 2020, SOFTIP will open a new workplace in Košice. At the same time, all the employees of SOFTIP's Prešov location (Budovateľská 38, premises of the Industrial Centre Prešov) will move to the eastern metropolis on that date. SOFTIP is closing its Prešov location on 31 October 2020.
