Tatiana Janovcová became the SOFTIP Personality of the Year 2018, transforming her very first nomination into a clear victory and replacing last year's winner Jana Medveďová at the top. For the second time in a row, a woman took the winning scepter.

The world of IT is no longer the preserve of men and this award is proof of that. A third of our employees are women, even in technical positions such as analysts, programmers and consultants. I believe that the personal success stories of our female colleagues will inspire other women and girls who are considering their future. Information technology is one of the most promising fields and I think that women definitely have their place in it. They can bring a different perspective, attention to detail and a strong dose of empathy to a male team,“
says Martin Vlčko, member of the Board of Directors and CFO of SOFTIP.

His words are also confirmed by the statement of the Commercial Director for State Administration, Dagmar Krajčírová, about the winner:
„Tánička is on the front line of demanding service projects, where the customer is often full of emotions, demands and expectations. With a calm, stocky voice and a teacher-like approach, she is able to soothe and resolve situations that arise or problems that are reported. She is a good colleague both in and out of the office. She can always be counted on, not to mention business support.“

Tatiana has been part of SOFTIP since 2004, when she started as an assistant project manager. It was here that she got into the secrets of project task planning and reporting. And since the field of project management caught her by the heart, she gradually furthered her education and obtained a number of certificates to later advance her career through the position of project manager to her current position as head of the competence centre Service SOFTIP PROFIT PLUS.

The victory in the Project of the Year 2018 category was booked by the team of the Competence Centre Development of the ESS Division for the information system Dobierkovac for the distribution company Direct Parcel Distribution SK.

„We broke the monolith,“ says Jozef Macko, head of KC Development, about this challenging project. „We have developed an application exactly according to the customer's requirements, which fully covers the specifics of the logistics company. In addition, the use of microservices architecture allows it to be divided into smaller units, thus improving its overall modularity and openness for future development and integration with other systems,“ adds.

„I would call the award for this project a „Technology Challenge“ or „SOFTIP Technological Innovation Award“, because it technologically takes SOFTIP to a new, higher level of a multi-platform system with high scalability. The project clearly demonstrates the challenges that SOFTIP (and the team around it) is ready to tackle,“ says Lukáš Grásgruber, editor-in-chief of IT Systems magazine.

The prize of the expert jury composed of the editors of TOUCHIT and IT Systems magazines and a representative of the renowned auditing company TÜV SÜD Slovakia for 2018 went to the project team around Marek Sedliak, Innovation Director of SOFTIP, for the Electronic Public Procurement (EPP) information system for the Public Procurement Office.

Currently, 49 % of all public procurement contracts with a total value of €4.5 billion are handled through EVO. „I like the fact that the system is actually being used in public procurement, reducing the bureaucratic burden. It also increases the transparency and efficiency of procurement,„says Ondrej Macko, editor-in-chief of TOUCHIT, about the winning solution.

„The successful handling of such a challenging project in terms of legislative environment, security and system integration appealed to me the most among the nominated projects,“ concludes Lukáš Grásgruber, editor-in-chief of IT Systems.
