1. Describe your journey that led you to the clouds
I came to cloud services sort of naturally. As SOFTIP we provided outsourced services for our customers. In 2010, I worked on developing Exchange email services for our more demanding clients. Back then we didn't call it cloud yet 🙂 With the advent of Microsoft's Office 365 sometime in mid 2011, it was clear that it didn't make sense to build these services locally and I started to look into cloud technologies. Their development since then has rocketed and the portfolio of services is extensive. Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure are the clouds I've been flying in ever since.
2. How did your career at SOFTIP start and where are you today?
I am ashamed to mention it sometimes 🙂 I have been with SOFTIP since 1996. I started really from the ground up. My first position was buying and selling hardware and software. I assembled computers, installed operating systems. Over time I gained knowledge in networking technologies, communication systems and databases. An amazing opportunity came when we started building a team at SOFTIP that began to specialize in providing infrastructure building services with a focus on Microsoft technologies. We grew from a small team with a leader with a vision to a standalone division with exponential growth. We have clients all over the world. Well, today I'm part of the Cloud Enterprise Solutions division, a happy bunch of people who just love it.
3. Why does this work make sense to you and what do you like best about it?
I think what I enjoy most about this job is that new and interesting things are always coming up. I enjoy discovering and learning new things. I can see the journey we've been on and where we've come. We are #1 in Microsoft 365 implementations.
4. Why do you like working for us?
I work in a great group of people where we support each other. We know and are willing to help each other, to share knowledge. I am able to approach my bosses with my requests and feel supported by them. I know, it sounds like formal bullshit, but it really is 🙂 Simply, this is not a job one goes to begrudgingly. And more about the work team. If you enjoy spending time with your colleagues outside of work duties, no more needs to be explained. We're having fun...
