Hackfest 2026: Supporting future cyber experts

Students from the V4 countries met at the Jozef Murgaš Secondary School of Industry in Banská Bystrica to experience first-hand what it is like to face real cyber threats.

For us, Hackfest also had a personal dimension. With the lecture „From zero to cybersec hero“ our colleague Martin Božko, a Murgaška graduate from the last millennium and today Cloud Architect at SOFTIP. He took the students through his journey from his first technical experiments - including programming the legendary Czechoslovak 8-bit computer PMD 85, to today's work with modern cybersecurity tools such as Microsoft Defender or Sentinel.

HACKFEST 2026 SLOVAK CYBERTRON

The second edition of the international competition of ethical hackers has once again shown how important it is to connect school with practice. Perhaps it is encounters like this that will help some students realise that they too can one day be a „cybersec hero“. And we are happy to be able to stand by the new generation of cybersecurity experts in this way too, sharing know-how where it really makes sense.
