Joint Forces
SOFTIP MONACO is not an unknown product in the Czech Republic. As a successful successor to the solution SYSKLASS, which is also used, for example, by TATRA TRUCKS in Kopřivnice, is a new generation technical information system. The SOFTIP MONACO system has more than 50 successful implementations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and the Netherlands.
„Many years of experience in the development and implementation of the SYSKLASS system in the Central European markets have been reflected in it. We want to provide our customers in the Czech Republic with even higher quality services in its deployment and subsequent support. That is why we have started a closer cooperation with our long-standing partner and respected company CAD Studio, which offers systems that work closely with systems such as SOFTIP MONACO. Our common goal is to provide customers with a more comprehensive offering to address their requirements at a more affordable price. Thus, a reliable and proven solution backed by a quality implementation,“ said Radovan Bálent, Director of the SME Division and member of the Board of Directors of SOFTIP.
Both companies can exploit synergies arising from their core business. CAD Studio is known as the largest supplier of Autodesk CAD/PDM products on the Czech and Slovak market. The company is an authorized Autodesk sales, training and consulting partner. It has long been involved in localizations of Autodesk products into Czech. „Production engineering follows CAD/PDM and gives output to production management. It is thus a logical and integral part between product design and production. So, the joint sharing of experience and professional know-how creates an ideal combination to provide quality solutions for engineering companies in our country,“ said Radomír Žvak, managing director and commercial director of CAD Studio.

The investment will be returned within two years
SOFTIP MONACO is a specialized software tool for creating, recording, archiving and modifying technical documentation for manufacturing companies. The concept of technical documentation is understood more broadly than just a set of computer data needed for proper planning and production management in ERP systems. The varied TPV documentation, which includes various technical specifications, drawings, 3D models, items, BOMs, tooling, workflows, or costing, requires uniform administration, filing, change and management of its availability. All this forms an integral part of SOFTIP MONACO.
This approach brings several benefits in line with the principles of Industry 4.0. First and foremost, significant savings in time and money. The process of technical production preparation is much faster, as all information is shared and seamlessly available in a clear form. SOFTIP MONACO has specific functions for fast creation of technical documentation, import of bills of materials from CAD/PDM systems including 2D drawings and 3D models, sequential transfer of finished TPV data to the ERP system and timely informing purchasing about material requirements, which contributes to a significant reduction in the time to deliver the product to customers.
Among other things, it also reduces the time to train new employees in the technical department and speeds up the company's response time to business cases. In fact, the system has the possibility of creating so-called technical documentation concepts with direct use of tools for rapid pricing of future products without the need to create detailed technical documentation. This minimizes the proportion of lost or missed contracts and also refines and streamlines the estimation of prices and deadlines for individual bids.
Last but not least, SOFTIP MONACO improves the quality of production itself. It makes technical documentation accessible to other departments of the company and increases its accuracy. It also brings savings in the production of production aids and gradually leads to a reduction in inventories. Thus, these and other benefits ultimately mean that all the investments made in it are returned within one to two years.

PDM system Autodesk Vault
Autodesk Vault is a robust client-server PDM system for managing technical documents in design teams. It uses proven, powerful and secure Microsoft SQL Server technology for centralized storage, retrieval, logging and concurrent editing of CAD documents, BOM management, workflow management (change procedures, approvals), and publishing of design and office documents and metadata. It supports automatic replication between remote offices and easy access to published data for non-technical users (sales, marketing). It offers tight integration with individual CAD applications such as AutoCAD, Inventor or Fusion 360 (as well as applications from other manufacturers), with the Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle PLM system and, thanks to its programmability, it can also be linked to other ERP systems, e.g. with the CS ERP Connector tool.
Autumn in the sign of engineering events
The actual results of their cooperation will be presented by both companies at the conference CADforum 2019, which will welcome its participants on 17-18 September 2019 in Hotel Avanti, Brno. In the framework of the joint lecture „Technical preparation of production as an integral step between design and production“ they will present specific case studies of customers ControlSeal from the Netherlands and Brush SEM Generators from Plzeň.

Less than a month later, SOFTIP will also present itself at the International Engineering Fairin Brno, where it will welcome all those interested in the latest information from the field of software solutions for the technical preparation of production in its exhibition stand.
